What is Matcha
Matcha is a special kind of powdered green tea, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Matcha is unique among other types of green tea in both appearance and taste. It has a vibrant, beautiful green colour, a subtle aroma, and a rich umami taste.
How much caffeine does matcha have in it?
Depending on grade of matcha, one bowl of matcha contains 80-120 mg of caffeine.
How it is prepared, hot or cold?
You can drink matcha as you like, both cold and hot. The benefits of drinking matcha. If you want to drink it cold, we recommend you dissolve the matcha with water or hot milk and then pour it into a glass of ice. You can also use it as an ingredient to prepare delicious matcha recipes.
What benefit does it have comparing to coffee?
One of the great differences between matcha and coffee is the large amount of antioxidants contained in each serving of matcha (1 g). Specifically, each dose of matcha contains 1384 ORACs (method to measure oxygen radical absorption capacity), 53 times more than spinach.
One serving of matcha (1 g) contains approximately 35 mg of caffeine, the same as an espresso coffee. When you drink coffee, you are likely to notice the high energy generated by caffeine and, after about 2 hours, a sudden downturn, also called caffeine crash. Matcha, in addition to containing caffeine, contains L-Theanine, an amino acid that causes an extended release of caffeine, creating a state of calm-alertness without jitters or energy high and lows.

I love ❤ the caramel matcha from Tenshi. The samples absolutely made us want more. Each sample so delicious, but caramel is my favourite at the moment. I got a big tin of it and my husband chose strawberry. The caramel is amazing as a latte with any milk you like. I have mine with sugar free oat milk (Alpro, but there are others!) I'd drink this all day if I could! Thank you Tenshi 💜
I look forward to this flavour mid afternoon which I mix with warm no sugar almond milk. It’s a delicious alternative to tea/coffee and I would highly recommend. Having never tried matcha before, I decided to purchase the samples and I'm so glad I did! I thought, well if I don't like them I can give them to my granddaughter who enjoys it. I fell in love with the strawberry when I tried it cold - mmm!! However I also like it with hot milk. It makes me feel cosy inside. I also love the caramel and I put it on subscription but I think I will be adding the strawberry to the subscription. In addition, my granddaughter tried the vanilla and loved it so much that she purchased a tin and some sachets!

This is the first time I've ever had caramel matcha and I have to say, I really liked it. It was not overly sweet, which I can't tolerate, but you could still taste caramel. My only complaint, there is not a lot of matcha in the canister.
